Welcome to New Dawn!

Program History In 2005, New Dawn established the first comprehensive intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) eating disorders treatment program in Marin County, located on the serene shores of Sausalito, California. This program was also the first and only program in all of the Bay Area to receive international accreditation by CARF, an organization committed to ensuring that the highest standards of treatment and patient-centered care are provided at all phases of treatment. In early 2010, New Dawn opened the first licensed residential eating disorders treatment program in northern California, located in the beautiful neighborhood of Pacific Heights, along with affordable housing for PHP clients.

Our Eating Disorders Treatment Approach Our
experienced staff of doctors, registered
dieticians, licensed psychologists,
psychotherapists, art therapists, and nursing
staff collaborate for a multidisciplinary
approach that is individualized and patient
centered. This holistic approach to recovery
focuses on treating the whole person and not
just the disordered eating symptoms.
Individualized treatment plans that address the
medical, psychological, nutritional, and
interpersonal needs of each patient, and that
involve the family in the recovery process are
central to ensuring positive and lasting change.
Additionally, for the convenience of those who
are working or in school, our intensive
outpatient and partial hospitalization programs are
offered all day, five days a week and can be
tailored to fit each person's schedule. |

Residential Treatment Program
Our residential setting is a welcome alternative to standard inpatient hospitalization, which is more costly and less therapeutic. Standard inpatient hospitalization also typically allows for only a short stay, where the physical symptoms are treated but not the emotional and psychological issues that are driving the disordered eating. New Dawn's residential program is licensed by the California Department of Health and offers a safe, therapeutic and compassionate environment. In a warm, home-like setting residents have the opportunity to shed unhealthy behaviors and replace them with positive coping skills while under the constant care and monitoring of an experienced medical team. We hope that the information we provide on this website encourages you to seek help, and to take the next step in getting your life back. Most insurances cover treatment, and we offer private, "in-house" financing as well. If you would like assistance - whether to schedule a free initial evaluation or to learn more about your treatment options - please contact us at 415-331-1383. Your call is completely confidential. |
