30 Day Residential Treatment Program
Our Treatment Model
New Dawn offers a multidimensional approach to chemical dependency treatment. We recognize that there is no scientifically proven treatment model that works equally for everyone. Rather, there are many different approaches that can be combined and tailored for each individual’s unique treatment needs. For example, our programs do not require participation in Alcoholics Anonymous as part of one’s treatment and aftercare planning, because we understand that, while AA does provide a valuable support network for many, there are other support mechanisms that can contribute as positively to one’s recovery. While the empirically proven Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model is our predominate treatment approach, we also provide supplemental recovery tools such as nutritional counseling, life coaching, acupuncture, spirituality groups, equestrian assisted therapy, recreational activities at California Family Fitness, and massage therapy. These program components are listed on our residential program schedule. New Dawn’s holistic, or “whole person” approach to recovery embodies the notion that personal growth of the mind, body and spirit should be a necessary component of one’s treatment plan.
Our Continuity of Care Options
Another reason why our clients report a high rate of success in sobriety post-discharge is our ability to offer multiple levels of treatment. While many programs only provide Residential treatment, we also offer lesser levels of care such as Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, and free Lifetime Aftercare support. These programs are covered by most insurance plans, and promote the ongoing recovery and support that has been clinically proven to reduce the chance of relapse which occurs most often during the first 30 days following Residential Treatment. Moreover, when one’s insurance benefit inevitably limits their Residential Treatment stay to less than 30 days, our lower levels of care allow our clients to continue their treatment rather than try to “make it on their own.”
Fly On Us!
We understand that the decision to enter a treatment program can be filled with much anxiety and apprehension, and we want to make that process as painless as possible. Therefore, if you are flying for your recovery, New Dawn will pay your airfare! Simply complete the Residential Program (30 days) and upon discharge we will either credit your account or, if you are paid in full, write you a check for the full cost of you airfare (up to $500). We will also provide free airport transfers to and from the residential facility.
Our Residential Facilities
Our Residential facilities are comprised of three adjacent campuses located in a quiet residential neighborhood. As part of our quality improvement process, New Dawn has been vigorously reinvesting its resources into the residential program. In 2005 we developed dedicated office space that includes a lobby and reception area, two private offices, and all the technical advances found in traditional office environments. We also added a spacious group room with hardwood flooring, a dedicated HVAC system, and ample seating. In 2007, a complete renovation was undertaken at one of our three houses including a redesigned kitchen and dining area, commercial grade appliances, hardwood flooring, new interior paint, additional lighting with new lighting fixtures, the addition of an oversized pantry and fully remodeled bathrooms with new sinks, toilets, stone counters and flooring. Additionally, the residential center grounds were substantially improved to provide additional sitting areas, water features, lighted pathways, and an outdoor dining area within an architecturally designed landscape setting. These and future renovation plans demonstrate our commitment to providing a welcoming, comfortable and therapeutically supportive environment for our clients.
